The Sports Court was installed last week along with an adjustable 10-foot basketball goal. A basketball is stored in the sports locker which is located inside the clubhouse bathroom. For younger players, the goal height is adjustable via a crank handle. The handle is located in the sports locker along with the basketball.
If you lower the backboard of the basketball goal, please raise it back to 10 feet when you have completed your play. Don’t forget to return the crank handle and basketball to the sports locker. By keeping the backboard positioned at 10-foot in height (when not in use), we hope to discourage damage from unauthorized use and / or vandalism.
Part of Sports Court project involved the removal of the rear deck of the clubhouse and replacement with a ground-level concrete pad. New stairs for the rear door of the clubhouse will be installed within the next 2 weeks. Once the stairs are installed, we will return the gas grill from the pool area to the rear of the clubhouse.
The next phase of this project includes back filling dirt against the edges of the concrete pad and planting grass. This will be an ongoing project that we hope to complete by this Fall. In the meantime, be aware that the edges of the concrete pad are raised about 4 inches or more from the surrounding ground. Please be careful around the edges of the pad to prevent trips and falls.
